Fence installation prep

Your fence installation will start with site prep. This involves measuring and marking out the fenced area, ensuring boundaries are correct, then removing trees and other obstructions. Once the fence line is measured, your contractor will dig holes for the corner, intermediate, and gate posts. 

Fence post installation

Next, your fence fitters will install the end, corner and gate posts, using a quick-set concrete mix. As the concrete sets, they will check that the post is plumb, level, centred on the fence line, and the correct height. Then they’ll install all the posts in between. Your fencing contractor may leave them overnight to allow the concrete to fully set before moving on.

Fence panel installation

Once the posts are secure, your fence installer will attach the fencing material and panelling, ensuring it is secure and stable. They’ll finish off the fence with matching edges and capping, to protect the edges of the fence and internal bits from weather damage and rust. Then your fence installation will install gates and check they open and close smoothly.
