I need a second opinion on a damp issue We are having on one side of the house. We have rising damp from the ground in the living room and in our bedroom we have mildew spots and it smells musty and damp every morning during the cold months. There is also a big condensation build on the windows. We feel it may be to do with some damp leaking through The joinery That is between my house and next door’s house. Their house has a different roof shape to ours and there is some lead plates that go on the tiles which I presume help with the flow of water down to the guttering. It is around these areas that we suspect possible leakage. we have been quoted £1500 for a ventilation system that brings in the outside air. This apparently will combat the issue.
