Details

I have a new bike but it has drop down handlebars. I want to put my old handlebars on (which are sit up ones). Both handlebars are still on respective bikes. I have some tools but might be good to bring your own.

Reviews

Alice E. left a review for Cameron P.

"Cameron is a lovely guy and he did a fantastic job, He was very flexible with timings, he really knew his stuff and is clearly a very highly skilled bike mechanic. He swapped handle bars and seat and tuned up my brakes. My bike is fresh and ready to ride. Thank you Cameron!"

"Alice was a pleasure to to do this job for. It was my first Airtasker job and she was excellent with everything. Good communication before the job, sending photos so I could accurately make an offer and no issues about payment. She was very friendly whilst I was doing the job and even gave me a cup of tea which was excellent as it was freezing outside!"

Questions(3)

Hi Alice, I'd be able to help out with this. Its a pretty straight forward job but the complexity would be very dependent on the compatibility of the 2 handlebars. i.e. the brake levers and gear shifters would need to be compatible and transferable between the 2 handlebars. I'd be interested to do it but i'd need a photo of the 2 handlebars to check they're compatible before making an offer. Thanks Cameron

I think it's the brake systems that might make it complicated...

That looks like you'll probably get away with it. Gear shifters looks to be no problem and hopefully you can use the old brake levers exactly as they currently are on old handle bar. If the brake levers are not compatible I could try swapping them over from new bike to old handlebars but they are drop bar specific so they may not fit properly on flat handle bars and could look and feel a bit odd. Its worth a try though. Thanks Cameron

great okay! shall we give it a go? if you make an offer I can accept it (i think thats how this works). I am in today until 2pm and then tomorrow morning until 11am.

People who send their number by photo are cheating the site so probably cheat you just a very friendly word

Ow.seven.eight.to.seven.ow.seven .ow.ow.nine.eight. I'm able now.
