Yeh LinkedIn is fine. To be honest a lot of first stage filtering and profiling is done on LinkedIn these days.

Hi, best thing is to contact professional firms, however, it will cost £300+ not £25. I got my CV reworked by one of such companies and I got a job at one of the big three IT companies of the UK switching from quality engineering role and without a degree in computer science.

I’m not sure if I can post directly here the name of the company and their website as it might me considered as advertising but if you search city cv in google search, they come first in the search. They also work with Linked In profiles so you might even get a better deal on Linked In profile refurb, it might turn out more helpful as recruiters shifted to social media head hunt.
