Details

We have an immersion heater wall switch, which is frequently used for backup hot water. We would like to replace it with a WiFi smart switch (see example on Amazon https://www.amazon.co.uk/Compatible-Assistant-Schedule-Protection-Required-Neutral/dp/B07D23RB2Y/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1546707364&sr=8-5&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=wifi+wall+switch&dpPl=1&dpID=31gdGbwwcmL&ref=plSrch), although we’re not sure if this is one that can be used for an immersion heater switch). We want to then be able to control this remotely using WiFi or Amazon Alexa. See photos of current switch. The budget here excludes the cost of the switch, which we can order directly if confirmed that it should work. PArking is available at premises. Also reachable on foot from Windsor and Eton central station (8 minute walk).

Hi, I’m Danny. Fully qualified electrician with over 12 years experience. I’m happy to complete this task for you as I have all tools necessary for the job. Please do not hesitate to ask any questions and please take a look at my reviews as all my clients are completely satisfied with my works. Kind regards Danny

Questions(3)

Like I said, you need an electrician who knows what they are doing... and who gives you the correct advise. This unit you want fitting will give you problems in the long term as it will not support the load of your “immersion tank”...

Good luck anyway.

Would you be able to source a switch to do this job then? Thats is WiFi and ideally works with Alexa? Thanks

Yes not a problem at all. Would you like me to make an offer on the task?

I can send you the details for you to purchase

Light switches are normally 6-10 amp

Advise: You need an Electrician to complete this task if you want it done properly and safely.
