I do not have any equipment, headphones etc which might be needed but will purchase items when I know what it is required

These are £20 at Argos. They would do the job for you.

Its restricting the model number as it thinks its a phone number. Try typing it with spaces see if that work s. 1 2 3 4 5 etc

Oh and I'm based just beyond Blyth but am in north Tyneside daily

Right it is possible along with the headphones you will need the following adaptation cable. Not necessarily that long though.
