Also would you like them varnished and polished .
Varnished and polished would be good but was actually thinking not to make them look like the original but rather give them a different feel for example by applying copper leaf on it?

Hi Allan, Just need two planks with a shaped /carved rim to recall the rim of the table (fairly simple shape) which connect with flat dowelled joints.
