I have a double fronted IKEA PAX MALM wardrobe with a mirrored sliding door mechanism. (the wardrobe is made up of two single wardrobe frames that are held together. The sliding door mechanism slides across the two units. It is given several years of faithful service. Recently the door stopped sliding smoothly. Ikea sent an assessor to investigate. They concluded that the upper right corner of the right hand unit had disintegrated. THis meant the sliding mechanism was not being held firmly in position. To remedy this IKEA have sent me a replacement single frame unit. What I would need is for someone to remove the sliding door panel and then remove the broken right hand frame. I would then need them to assemble the replacement frame and then reattach it the the original remaining frame and then reattach the sliding door mechanism. Finally I would need the shelves and sliding draws from the old frame transferred to the new frame. Ideally I would also be grateful if the broken frame could be removed from site and disposed of, however this is up for negotiation.
