I am due to move soon and have 2 larger pieces of furniture.. Both shelf / wall type units. Both heavy wood with fitted screws I cant release. They are heavy and fitted and I am unable to dismantle them ready for the removal company.

Just going to be honest, there is no reason at all a moving company should be asking you to take these apart, very easy to move, when working in removals, we probably moved these very same units 2/3 times a week. If you take them apart they will never be as strong again. Personally I’d leave them assembled and get moving company to move as is
Ashley thank you. The challenge is I'm in a small top floor flat and the biggest piece won't get down the tight staircase. I will have a rethink
