Hi all, I have recently purchased a new car, there is a small whine sometimes when it is cold, coming from around one of the auxilary units such as the air con or alternator. I recently replaced the drive belt and water pump myself a few weeks ago because that broke, but now I don't have access to any tools. To be honest it only took a socket set :) Just want to figure out what that is, or try to. There is also a small rattle from the front of the car around the drop links, so probably could do with jacking it up and giving it all a shake to figure it out, but don't mind if we are beaten and can't find out these things, but would like some help by someone. It's a 2008 Daihatsu Sirion with a small 1.0 three cylinder Toyota engine. Really well built and easy to work on. I was hoping that someone would like to come and basically do most of it, and I offer help because I just don't have the tools and I know that there are more mechanically minded people out there, but I do understand what i'm looking at. Could be ongoing work if you can figure it out :) Warmest regards, Ben

I’m not sure where but I believe there is a diy garage in Sheffield where you can hire a ramp and all tools needed for quite cheap.
