Is there anyone who could strip the paint off 2 wooden chairs that have no actual value but are of massive sentimental value to me? I tried to strip the paint off them (after painting them then regretting it) and now they are just a half painted mess and need someone to get the paint off properly.

Ok thank you very much for that info - I will try to look you up on airtasker when the table arrives as you are the only person who has offered to do both tasks. I have struggled to find anyone to strip the paint from the chairs. They have no financial value but were my grandad's and mean a lot to me and I wrecked them with blue paint which is now stuck, I tried to strip them off and only managed half the paint before giving up trying to get it off so they need properly sorting out stripping back to the wood with proper paint stripper I reckon. Then I will re-upholster the seats myself. They are simple wooden kitchen chairs but getting paint out the joints might be annoying. Thanks for being in touch. I hope the table will come soon, their customer service is a bit rubbish, have rung them 4 times about it and am assured it will be sorted soon! Tracey

I reckon I could get your chairs looking very good indeed, with some patience, elbow grease (plus some paint stripper). It may well be that more stock of your new table is coming from overseas by ship, and so will take time to arrive. Hopefully soon though. Mark

When your table arrives, look up my profile and click “Request Quote”. See photo.

That's great thank you. I'll do that and hopefully you can do both jobs for me. Thanks again. Tracey

If the photo is too big, there may be settings in your camera app whereby you can take a lower resolution photo. This is certainly the case if you have an Android (not an iPhone) mobile phone. Or try using the Airtasker via their website - on a laptop or desktop computer if you have access to one. Someone technical (a family member maybe or friend?) could show you how to do this if you’re unsure.

Hi Mark. Not got time to faff around with pics on phone sorry, had quick look, no settings on my phone and I have really busy days. I find this airtasker website a right faff actually, it never loads very fast and takes ages to re-find tasks and messages. I don't know when table will arrive yet they are still waiting for new stock at the warehouse so can't assign task til it arrives. Do you have a business website to contact you through rather than this one or do you only work through this? I appreciate this gives some safety and insurance etc but if you only work through this I may just have to relist the task when table comes and then you can view chairs in person. As you say it would be good to find one person who can do several tasks and get a good relationship with. Thanks Tracey

Hi Tracey. I understand you’re busy. And it’s frustrating about the photos. Not to worry - leave that for now. I use the Airtasker app on my phone - it’s much swifter than using a web browser on my phone and you can go to your tasks or messages very quickly. I do use Airtasker quite a lot and due to that I cannot give you any contact info without breaching their rules and facing a ban! When your table is back in stock, you could look up my name and ‘request a quote’ from me, which means I’ll get to know about your task. Otherwise just make a new task and put a long future date on it (1 month down the line say) and I’ll keep an eye out for it. I hope that helps. I’m sure I can assist you with your two current tasks and possibly future ones so it’s worth persisting with that in mind. Thanks - Mark

Can you upload a photo of the current condition of the chairs please Tracey? I may be able to help you with this task. Thanks.
