I’ve the knowledge, experience and tools to carry out this task professionally and successfully. My offer takes into account the Airtasker site fees and VAT (which I pay) and includes a contribution to my fuel expenses as I’m a long way from you. Rest assured though I’d do the job properly for you.

Questions(2)

Can you show a photo of your drive where you want this post installed? Also, is the post intended to stop people parking on your drive or to act as a anti-car theft device?

Hi Mark, It's intended to stop people parking there when I'm out. I've attached a photo of the space (actually the one directly adjacent but my car is in the way) Cheers

Hi Callum. That photo helps - thanks. A few more questions: 1. Do you own the space? (Is it okay to drill into the block paving? Probably not if you’re a tennant) 2. Is there electricity nearby for power tools? 3. Have you bought the post yet? What model is it precisely as the ground fixings need to be explored? 4. How close to the edge of the space do you need it? Identify it with reference to that number “28” in your photo. Sorry for all the Q’s!

No worries Mark: 1. Yes I own the space and it's fine to drill into. 2. There's no power at the space but you could run an extension lead from my flat. 3. I should receive it in the next couple of days, I have attached the documentation provided by the supplier, it is described as an Autolok KYP1. 4. I would say at least a third of the way into the bay, just so people can turn their car around using the front of the bay if necessary, even if the post is up. Cheers

Thank you. I’ve looked into that specific model. It needs three appropriate bolts to secure it which are not included so they’ll be an extra cost for you. I’m guessing under £10 for the three - they’re heavy duty and weather resistant. I did read that it’s not designed for attaching to paving bricks because it’s not secure in that application. That doesn’t mean it won’t do the job you want (of deterring people using your space) but it’s possible that it could be removed (if someone really wanted to) as the paving bricks are not locked to the ground. I’m happy to install it for you as long as you know this limitation. Let me know please.

Callum P.poster

Hi Mark, I'd be fine with that as it's primarily a deterrent. Cheers

I’ve made you an offer Callum. Let me know if you’re interested? If you’re a first time user of this site, there’s a promo code you can use when you ‘assign’ me the task which knocks £20 off the price. Just ask if you need it.
