Hi Philip, I might be able to help you with this, I am a conservator with experience in furniture restoration and textiles. I would need to see some photos of the damage if possible and what parts exactly are damaged and how they were damaged / broken. Then I can assess what repairs need to be carried out. But I see in your task description that you mentioned ‘carefully removing fabric and carefully replacing it’- does that mean you can’t access the damaged area to take photos ? Best wishes Susan
