Details

Paint the walls and ceiling of a small bathroom with good quality paint. Important to do the preparation well before painting, eg sanding of old paint and filling small holes where needed. Then around our new boiler small tiles need to be replaced or the area boxed in with a cupboard.

Questions(1)

Hello could I see a photo of the boxing in/tiling? Please

I have send you a photo of the boiler. At the bottom and left side of the boiler you can see the tiles have been removed. The question to you is will you be able to replace the tiles, which I prefer, or will you just build or install a small box to hide this area and the boilers working parts.

I'm sorry I can't seem to see any photos of the boiler only the bathroom

A floor plan to help you determine the size of the bathroom

Dear David. I've asked my tenant a bit more about the problem around the boiler. Here is his response: The tiles that went around the pipework at the bottom of the boiler were mounted on board of some sort so that they could be removed if needed. The reason this could not be put back was twofold - the new boiler sits lower on the wall and the pipework comes out further, as a result the tile piece was too tall and too narrow to fit any longer. Obviously this meant that, even if cut down, it would no longer fit or match the tiles currently on the wall. Amar did cut it down it to see if he could get it to fit but it did not and is ill fitting on both sides, especially by the sink. It also doesn't stay standing. I have had a look to see if there are any spare tiles and there are a few - a mixture of the ones used in the kitchen and the bathroom - but not very many and none of the detailed tile work that runs along the top. While obviously the tiles are an important part I am also very concerned about the rest of the wall and the parts above the boiler, especially where the plaster is missing.
