Hi. Thanks for reading this. My toilet has a traditional valve system (around 15 years old so neither ancient nor modern) with a ball that rises to stop the flow of water into the cistern. At the moment the ball rises almost to the top but gets 'stuck' against other parts - so water constantly flows in. I have to physically tap the ball upwards, releasing it and even then there is a small and constant flow. Clearly this is a big waste of water. Obviously on top of the labour I will pay for replacement parts. I need a fully qualified Plumber who is prepared to park near my flat but arranging parking at Paddington basin is a total nightmare so I cannot supply a parking space!
