"The gardening work (levelling) was completed to a high standard. Unfortunately Will did not take all rubbish away as we had agreed. He also didn’t stick to original quote for job. Disappointing end."

William S. left a review for Harriet T.

"Had very little understanding that the amount of work which was done was not in accordance to the price. She was really rude, I text her regarding to pay us more for the 4 days we were there and she denied our request which was totally reasonable. I do not recommend working for her as she has no concept that time is money!"

Hi there, I am an experienced gardener and could get this done for you on Monday if suitable.... Regards Will

I need to get a large amount of soil delivered first and not sure this would have arrived by Monday. I guess you could do the job in two parts. The lawn could be removed and the earth underneath dug over. There is also a brick edging to the lawn which needs to be removed. Then soil could be layed another day? What do you think?

Well ok doing the job in two parts is probably the best option yes. I could do the digging and removing grass Monday then wednesday I could do the rest. Let me know if this works for you so I can have it my schedule. Thanks

Just to add, the soil will be delivered in very large bags in to the front garden. It will need to be transported through the house in to the back garden as I have no side entrance. Thanks!

Maybe better for you to come and have a look for yourself? Not sure about a wheelbarrow turning from hallway into living room. Maybe. There is a window from front garden into living room though so could maybe pass through window? Just an idea...

Ok maybe is better, as that will be a time consuming thing getting all the soil to the back garden so will have to work out route to estimate time it will take my etc

On this site I don't seem to be able to give you my details for you to come round and look without assigning the job to you, which i don't want to do if you are hesitant about whether you will be able to do it...

Yes I understand and wasn't hesitant about the job just more how time consuming it would be to get the soil through the house. So need to quote based on time I think It will take so that's what I was struggling with working out how long it would take

In my head it is a two day job. Since I think it is a pretty heavy job I thought £200 a day seemed like a fair price. Initially I was going to offer £300 but decided it would require someone to work hard so thought £400 was fairer...

Yeah that sounds reasonable just with the airtasker commission quoting £400 you will only receive £300 anyway

Do you have a sledge hammer? My friend pointed out to me that the brick edging has the bricks cemented together so they will need to be broken up to be removed. Also, I do wheel my large size wheelie bin through the house from front to back garden when I do gardening for the garden waste, I had forgotten this, this suggests the wheelbarrow would fit?

Ok then that's fine then, and I do have a sledge hammer. Was even thinking I could bring some sacks and fill them with soil and carry them through might be easier but we will see I guess, so I know you said £400 was fair but with the airtasker commission I will inky receive £300 which was fine until I found out I have to transport through the house (which will be time consuming) so would you mind if I increase quote by £50 which will give me an extra £35 so I will receive £335 total if you think this is fair and would like me to complete this task for you please assign me the task and we can exchange details etc thank you and also would you rather I did it over 2 separate days then or all on 1 day when soil arrives ?

I would be happy to pay an extra £50 if you are able to take any waste/rubbish away with you in van to the dump? I don't think this is a job which could be completed in a day...

Just to let you know I have all the tools and can take away the rubbish with no extra charge. Thanks

Hi William, have you read all the posts and do you understand the job? You would need a decent spade as my garden is hard clay soil. You might also want something (wheelbarrow?) to carry soil from front to back. Three will be 4000litres of soil/grit to carry through. Any questions?

Hi Harriet, Yes I have read over all the info, I have all the tools needed also. I can do this Tuesday and Wednesday if needed, would bring an extra person so most probably done in a day. Let me know if that works for you. Thanks

Cool. I'll order the soil tomorrow and hopefully they can deliver monday or tuesday :-)

Thank you and reading your other comment I could come and do digging and then levelling another day once soil has arrived if you would prefer or can do all at once

Hi Tarik, did you see the pictures? Do you have any questions? :-)

I did and was all fine until I saw your last comment :) can I now see pictures of detailed description of route through house, as in if I put sheets down etc could we get a wheel barrow through the house or awkward turnings so would need to find a different route of getting soil to back garden
