I'm buying VITREX PREMIER WOOD & LAMINATE UNDERLAY BOARDS (5MM 9.76M²) to put on the floorboards and have a bit of soundproofing. And plywood sheets to put on top of the underlay and stick the vinyl sheet to it. Are these the right materials to get?

There will be a small height difference between the living room floor and vinyl kitchen floor. Currently I just covered it up with a sticker. What is the part I should buy to fix in this area?

These are the floorboards under the current vinyl flooring. In half of the room the floor was already removed when we were changing the gas pipes.
