My offer includes a suitable (close to wall) hanging bracket, white cable trunking, one 2m HDMI cable (4k HDR rated), my fuel (£25 from Nottingham), and the Airtasker site fees. In effect I take home what you were offering for the task originally. Please note that this offer assumes your wall is brick. Should it be plasterboard, special fixings to securely hold the TV weight may be required which will add to the cost (roughly £10 - £15). I'm happy to also wall mount the Sound-bar if it only needs standard screw fixings. I can be flexible with time for this task and would clear the day to avoid any pressure to rush it. I can certainly carry out this task to a very high standard and will make suggestions to try to save you money and ensure you get as good a solution as possible. Let me know if you're interested - many thanks.

Hi James. I notice your task expires today. My offer included everything but if it helps, I’d revise it to £80 for labour only. The parts would be extra and could be obtained by you or purchased from me in cash. You only need the TV bracket as a minimum and some wall fixings if it’s plasterboard (around £10 to £12). And I could do this for you today if you decided to assign me the task this morning leaving time for me to get to you. No problem if not.

Hi James, just last week I mounted a 55 inch Samsung tv onto a wall with a nice wall hung unit underneath (for the audio visual equipment) and a cable tidy between the two. (See photo). I have all my own tools and you will definitely be pleased at the quality of my work. Are you flexible on dates? What size is the TV? Better still what is the make and model? I’ll send an offer once I have your reply for you to consider. Thanks.

Hi Mark. thanks for the message! yes his looks really good. is there anyway to hide the wires into the wall? if not this looks really good still. heres the make and model. 819/3115 Panasonic 55 Inch TX-55FX600B Smart 4K UHD TV with HDR can you let me know the price for everything all in. like the bracket and your time. I will only be connecting two things the TV, which will be an xbox and a sound bar. so if they sound bar can be connected under that would be ideal. The xbox can be someone where else in the room (if the HDMI cable is a long one!). thanks again and look forward to hearing back

Hi James, thanks for the info. Great TV by the way - I have two Panasonics myself. It is possible to bury the wiring into the wall but this will increase the cost noticeably and would require some exploration. Do you know if the intended wall is made of brick? It sounds like the wires going to the TV will be power, one HDMI cable (for the Xbox) and (I'm guessing) an optical cable for the sound bar. Do you not need a TV aerial lead? It maybe a good idea to add another HDMI lead for future expansion? There are many options here. I would advise you use surface trunking for the cabling initially (as per my photo) and let some time pass after which you could consider burying cables into the wall. As you have a 4K TV you may need higher quality HDMI cables especially if they're long ones, and if the cables are buried, you won't be able to add more in future without disturbing the decoration. Let me know your thoughts - thanks.

Just to be clear, the surface trunking lets you easily add or change cables upto the capacity of what you can fit in it. This doesn't affect the decor - unlike if the cables were buried into the wall.

mark, great explanation! thanks! ok so yes, will take your advice and hold off on burying them and run them down to the xbox. We don't really need an Ariel as we never watch tv. only Netflix (running off the internet) and the occasional use of the Xbox for Sky Go and (even more rare...gaming). If you can source a high end HDMI lead that would be brilliant. Do you have any suggestions on a good value AV box like the one in your picture? literally just something for the xbox to go in.. thanks again so much

Okay, no problem. I'll make you an offer and if you assign it to me, we can continue the conversation more privately or on the phone. There are many options for a media unit for the Xbox and a short discussion would be much easier. Please note my offer will take account of my travel costs and the Airtasker fees which reduce how much I receive. Thanks.
