Details

I would like a whisky keep for a 5* small luxury hotel. We have a room dedicated to whisky and we want 30 individual lockable cabinets made from wood but the doors can be mesh or glass with a wood frame.

Questions(1)

Good afternoon Alex, We would be happy to visit and ascertain the exact scope of work involved and hopefully agree on the budget. We could either build in our workshop or built on site depending on the location of the unit ie: free-standing or built in. Let us know when you're available to progress further. Thanks. David.

Good Morning David, Unfortunaately the hotel is very old construction and is curently under full restauraton so it is a little bit difficult to have access to the building site but if we move forward with our agreement we may be able to have a visit. Its basicly a wood construction, free-standing, with 30 separate compartiments and every compartiment must have a lockable door and a small handle. The doors need to be a wood frame but with a transparent mesh kind a thing 😀. I attached a very rough sketch with some minnimum requirements. If you arekind to provide an email adress i can send you more pictures. Please let me know what do yo think about that.

Good afternoon Alex, looks simple enough to construct once we are agreed on the type of materials you'd like to use. Not sure what the finish of your bar will be like but, the unit could be constructed from MDF and spray painted to match / contrast with the bar decor finishes. If you are happy with having a "free standing" unit then it could be done at our workshop and delivered to you. With regards to the "mesh grille" it might be easier to use perspex or acrylic sheet for the doors (they come in a variety of colours - more artistic freedom). The locks could be simple locker shanks with a master key. Is this unit going to be behind the bar or part of the general bar area? You can use o vii vii ix ix with ii ìii o ii. Thanks. David.

Also, would you be having lighting within the units. LED'S could be used to light up the bottle from underneath which would showcase the Wiskies better.

Good afternoon David, We were talking about a wallnut veneer as a main material but i do not know if it can be done with this budget. Deffinitely will be "free standing". I would stick with the "mesh grille" because a lot of guests will like to see what is inside. The unit will be in a separate room dedicated to whisky and the doors must be locked with diferent key because the guest will take the key with him but also one key will remain at the General Manager of the hotel for extra security. Could you offer me a rough cost for all of this?
